Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, Gazipur (ঢাকা প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, গাজীপুর) or DUET, Gazipur is a public university in Bangladesh that focuses on the study of engineering and architecture. It is one of the most popular engineering universities in Bangladesh. The university offers four-year bachelor's degrees in Textile Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical, and Electronic Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical, and Food Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, and five-years Bachelor of Architecture. The students with Diploma in Engineering, Diploma in Agriculture, and Diploma in Architecture can take admission for a bachelor's degree in engineering and architecture. It is one of the nine Ph.D. granting research universities of Bangladesh. Every year, around 660+ students enroll in undergraduate programs to study engineering and architecture. In the undergraduate admission test, only about the top 5% of students can get admitted among 12,000 selected candidates. The number of teachers is about 300+.
